2010 NFL playoff predictions!! (a.k.a i called a do-over)

I’ve done a lot of soul searching and decided to re-hash my 2010 NFL postseason predictions. After watching a lot of the preseason games and doing a little more research I thought some of my predictions were a little premature, not to mention some were against the status quo. I’m completely alright with that aspect of my post because I honestly believe some of, if not most of the “favorites”  or the “elite” teams are a tad bit overrated. Some of the analysts on the major sports networks always seem to say the same things every year, almost like they are contractually obligated to mention these specific teams every single season, and quite honestly it has become my biggest annoyance against sports broadcasting. Are some of these so called “elite” teams actually good teams, yes, but to always say every year without a shadow of a doubt so in so is definitely a super bowl contender even though they just came of a terrible season and didn’t improve through the draft or free agency is obviously ridiculous. But on the flipside of the argument, if a team has added key pieces they were missing, either through free agency or the draft, the TV personalities continually dismiss them as contenders. The only examples I even need to use to demonstrate my point are these: Every analyst I can think of proclaimed last year the return of the New England Patriots dynasty, while those same analysts dismissed the eventual Super Bowl Champion New Orleans Saints as nothing more then a team that could potentially contend for a wildcard spot.

Enough of this slightly off topic rant, lets get to the predictions.
